Students in Mrs. Futch’s College Prep class have been learning about the Focused Note-Taking process this week. Students practiced using the process by creating notes on how to make s’mores. As a fun Friday activity students got a chance to make a yummy s’more and enjoy it.

There was some tough competition today in the Spelling Bee, but in the end our Spelling Bee Champion was Ethan Ellis and the Runner-up was Jayda Smith. They will both represent MPMS in the system wide Spelling Bee next month. Congratulations to everyone who won their class Bees and participated!
Students in Dr. Hernandez’s music appreciation class learn about the dreidel song and game for Hanukkah, playing for treats.

The Orchestra recently performed their annual Holiday Concert under the direction of Dr. Colleen Wade, and did a fantastic job!

Seventh Grade Discovery students toured Thomasville History Museum to learn about the different jobs in a Museum. Students were able to participate in cataloging artifacts and toured the historic Lapham Patterson house. Afterwards students ate lunch at LongHorn Steakhouse.

The Boys and Girls Club is closed from 11/28-12/1. If your child is attending the after school program here at MPMS and normally rides the bus to the Club, they will need to be picked up from the school by 5pm this week. Thank you!
