Focused Note-Taking Goes School-Wide

MacIntyre Park Middle School is in its second year of Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) implementation.  AVID is a nonprofit that changes lives by helping schools shift to a more equitable, student-centered approach. AVID trains 80,000 educators annually to close the opportunity gap, so they can prepare all students for college, careers, and life. One big goal for MPMS this year is going school-wide with the focused note-taking process. In the last few weeks teachers and students received instruction on the focused note taking process.

AVID Coordinator Tiquilla Futch is shown in a teacher training session including William Weatherspoon, Christopher Guyton, Zondra Goosby, and Kelly McDougald

Zamari Hill and Trinity Lawson dive into the tools they are learning to use for the AVID focused note-taking process.
