To celebrate Earth Day, Mr. Sherrard’s STEM class got to learn about biopolymer plastics and composting from Mrs. Tammy Nowell of the Georgia Youth Science & Technology Centers. GYSTC has partnered with Danimer Scientific from Bainbridge to help inform area students on these topics. They also donated a compost tumbler to us. Ms. Tammy provided materials to test the different decomposition rates of biopolymer plastic straws compared to regular plastic straws.
Milestones testing continues tomorrow (Tuesday, 4/23) for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. Please make sure your child gets plenty of sleep and arrives to school on time tomorrow. Also, please give them words of encouragement to do their best on the test. They can do it!!
